Meet Debonheur — Java Coffee Grown with Heart

Debonheur is a respected elder and grower in the Terra-Noun cooperative, cultivating rare Java 1 coffee on his small farm in the highlands of West Cameroon. But this isn’t just any plot—it’s a living example of organic agroforestry farming in action.

Nestled near the NGAMBOUO forest reserve, Debonheur’s farm thrives at 1,300–1,400 metres above sea level. Here, coffee trees grow alongside banana, mango, and pepper plants—boosting biodiversity, enriching the soil, and supporting a more sustainable way of life. It’s farming rooted in tradition, ecology, and community.
